the Buddha

Who is the Buddha? Why was he called as Buddha? What is his Doctrine?

When we talk about the Buddha above questions are usually asked by many people. This article may help all to solve those questions.

The Buddha is a human as all. But his characteristics are different than normal human beings. He was noble one through his enlightened. His life is compared to a lotus. First the lotus bud arises through the mud. Next it touches the water and comes up through the water. Finally it appears in the outside of the water without touching the water. Like that the Buddha also arose through the human society. He grew with them and finally he came to a place that others cannot be reached. That is the Buddha-hood.

It is very clear now that who the Buddha is. He is not an invisible one or an unseen god. He wasn’t a ghost which has unnatural powers. He was just a human being.

The word “Buddha” means the Understanding. He was called the Buddha who attained the reality in the world. He was called the Buddha who understand the real truth in the world. Simply say, he realized that all the things are impermanent, suffering and non-egoism.

He realize that all the things are based on with suffering. He needed to find out a way to cease it. As a result of that he realized the four noble truth. Namely:-

    1 Suffering

    2 cause of suffering

    3 cessation of suffering

4 The path leading to the cessation of suffering

Thus the Buddha was able discover the suffering well and he narrated it step by step till the end of the suffering.

The Buddha delivered his teachings basing on above main doctrinal facts and the “cause and effect theory”

There are Buddhist teaching not only for the development of supper natural life but for the development of worldly life also. Study the Buddhism and feel the real taste of it without hanging on bad views.
